COPPA Readiness
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
Our Commitment to Children's Privacy
Dream Engine Kids LLC ("Dream Engine") operates a platform designed for young learners ages 8–16. We take extra precautions intended to support the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and are working toward independently validated compliance. We do not sell personal data collected from minors or share it for advertising.
What is COPPA?
COPPA is a U.S. federal law (15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506) that protects the privacy of children under 13. It requires parental consent before collecting personal information from children and gives parents control over that information.
Dream Engine's target audience is children and teens ages 8–16. For users under 13, we require verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal data. We do not sell or share personal data from minors under any circumstances.
How Our Controls Support COPPA
Parental Consent Process
Before a child under 13 can use Dream Engine:
- Parent/guardian provides their email address
- We send a verification email with details about our data practices
- Parent confirms consent through a verified method (electronic signature, signed consent form, or email verification)
- Only then is the child's account activated
A printable/digital Parental Consent Form is available for download.
Parental Rights
As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:
- Review your child's personal information
- Request deletion of your child's data
- Refuse further collection
- Revoke consent at any time
Parental Responsibility & Shared Oversight
While Dream Engine implements multiple layers of safety measures — including AI content filtering, profanity detection, reporting systems, and administrative moderation — no technology-based system can guarantee complete prevention of all inappropriate content or interactions.
Parents and guardians acknowledge and agree that they share responsibility for monitoring their child's use of the platform. We encourage parents to: (a) regularly review their child's activity through the Parent Dashboard; (b) discuss online safety and responsible digital citizenship with their child; (c) promptly report any concerns to our safety team.
DREAM ENGINE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY HARM, DAMAGE, OR DISTRESS ARISING FROM USER INTERACTIONS, USER-GENERATED CONTENT, OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT ON THE PLATFORM, DESPITE OUR COMMERCIALLY REASONABLE EFFORTS TO MAINTAIN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT. OUR FULL TERMS OF SERVICE, INCLUDING LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES, APPLY TO ALL USE OF THE PLATFORM BY CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS OR GUARDIANS.
Data Protection Commitment
Dream Engine Kids LLC does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share personal data collected from children or any minors (users under 18) with third parties for marketing, advertising, or any commercial purpose. Data is shared only with essential service providers under strict data protection agreements, solely for the purpose of operating the platform.
